Clark Co.(WQOW)- A Clark County man is sentenced for his role in a beating that involved a baseball bat.
On Thursday, Robert Stargardt was sentenced a total of 7-years: 5-years for burglary with a dangerous weapon and another 2-years for substantial battery. He must also pay restitution. Stargardt, of Chili, was one of two men who broke into Lance Poeschel's home in February.
Poeschel was sleeping when he says he was hit 20 to 30 times with an aluminum baseball bat and a metal pipe. He suffered four broken bones and other injuries.
The other suspect in the beating, Alexander Lee, of Neillsville, was sentenced earlier this month to 10 years in prison.
