UPDATE: Name released in fatal motorcycle crash in St. Croix County

St. Croix County (WQOW) - A Baldwin motorcyclist has been killed following an accident in St. Croix County.

The state patrol says 34-year-old David Boyce was killed when his motorcycle left the roadway and crashed along County E near Hammond. Around 10-o'clock Sunday night the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed.  According to the DOT the driver may have been fleeing from police earlier, but was not being pursued at the time of the accident. The driver was not wearing a helmet.

St. Croix County (WQOW) - A crash Sunday night claimed the life of a person in St. Croix County.

Just after 10:00 pm last night a motorcycle was heading westbound on County Highway E near Hammond when it left the road and crashed into an embankment. According to the State Patrol the driver may have fled from police earlier but was not being actively pursued at the time of the crash.

The driver was not wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.
