ANTIGO (WAOW) - Another person has been arrested in the Antigo drug
investigation.
John Hunter, 34, of Antigo was arrested over the weekend,
according to police. Online court documents show Hunter faces 26 charges of
manufacturing and delivering cocaine. In addition, he also faces 24 charges of
delivering and manufacturing THC. THC is the main ingredient found in
marijuana.
Hunter is the latest person charged in the drug
investigation that spans several counties.
In November, several people were arrested after
authorities say they were involved in buying and selling marijuana. Three of them
were former Antigo school district employees, while two others were involved in
the Merrill school district.
In total 15 people have now been charged in connection
with this drug investigation.
The Langlade County sheriff says the
investigation is still ongoing. He said he does expect more charges to be filed
in the near future.
Hunter appeared in court Tuesday afternoon.
