UPDATE: Authorities identify young woman killed in crash

Taylor Co. (Press Release) - On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, a two-vehicle crash occurred on County Highway A and Robin Drive, in the Town Deer Creek Township in Taylor County.

A 2002 Saturn automobile being driven westbound on County Highway A made a U-turn into the path of another westbound vehicle. The driver's side of the lead vehicle was struck by the following vehicle, a 1999 Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the Saturn, identified as Tiffany J. Langteau, age 21, of Stetsonville, WI was fatally injured. The driver of the Dodge truck was identified as Jason R. Bernick, age 33, Spencer, WI. Bernick received minor injuries. A passenger in the truck identified as Ryan W. Bernick, age 9, Spencer, WI was uninjured.

Seatbelts were worn by both drivers and passenger. Alcohol is not suspected. Stetsonville Fire, Medford EMS, and the Taylor County Sheriff's Office assisted. The crash remains under investigation.

Taylor County (WQOW) - One person is dead after a crash in Taylor County. It happened shortly after 2:00 PM Tuesday on County Highway A in the Town of Deer Creek.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department says a car pulled over to the side of the road then returned into traffic and was struck by a pick-up truck. The driver of the car, a 21 year old female was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.  

The name of the victim is being withheld until family can be notified. The crash is still under investigation.
