UPDATE: Teen speaks out after alleged dog attack

Posted:

Fond du Lac County (WQOW/WISN) - The victim of an alleged dog attack is speaking out about the horrific ordeal.

Joel Kennedy says a friend of his father's allegedly encouraged his dog to attack him. You can see the marks from that attack all over his face. Last Friday, Kennedy says he and his dad went to Campbellsport to visit his dad's friend. When they arrived, that friend allegedly accused Kennedy of stealing from him. Kennedy says his dad stood by as the man interrogated him for two or three hours with occasional dog attacks.

"He tied me by my ankles, and that's from being tied...I was hanging from the ceiling of his patio, just hanging by my ankles, trying to hold myself with my arms...My dad helped the guy tie me up... I was dripping blood everywhere, all over the place. I kept thinking, 'What's going to happen to me?" says Joel Kennedy Jr.

Kennedy says a man he didn't know finally arrived...and called police. Both of the accused, Richard Lisko and Joel Kennedy senior, are facing several charges, including false imprisonment. The dog is now at the Fond du Lac county humane society until the court system decides what to do with him.

It's worth mentioning, the dog is not a pit bull, but an argentine mastiff, that's a different breed that somewhat resembles the American pit bull terrier.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Two men have been charged in connection with an alleged dog attack in which one of the men's teenage sons suffered multiple dog bites.

Richard R. Lisko, 58, and Joel E. Kennedy, 43, are scheduled to make initial court appearances Thursday morning.

Kennedy's 18-year-old son told investigators that Lisko accused him of stealing gold coins last week. When the teen denied stealing anything, he says Lisko and his father tied him at the ankles and suspended him upside-down, and that Lisko ordered his dog to attack the teen.

Lisko also faces assault charges in an unrelated case. His defense attorney in that case, Dan Stevens, says there was a history between the dog and the 18-year-old.

Online court records didn't list an attorney for Kennedy, of New Berlin.

Fond Du Lac County (WBAY) - Two men are behind bars after allegedly encouraging a pit bull to attack an 18 year old. The teenager was treated for dog bites all over his body, but is expected to be okay.

Deputies were called to a residence in the Town of Osceola on Friday. They learned that the homeowner who had accused the teen of stealing from him turned the dog onto the teen as a means of interrogation. The attack, according to authorities, happened as the teen's father watched.

According to Lieutenant Cameron McGee of The Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Department, "The dog was set on this 18-year old multiple times, and subsequently the 18 year old was bound by his ankles, strung up to a rafter on the outside porch, and left to hang upside down while the dog continued to attack him."

The homeowner and father are due in court Today in Fond Du Lac County.
