Altoona (Press Release) - On 09/11/2012 Altoona Police investigators arrested a suspect for this crime.
The suspect's vehicle has also been recovered. The case file will be referred to the Eau Claire County District Attorney for criminal charges.
At this time we are not identifying the suspect or the victims. Additional information will be released later this week.

Altoona (WQOW) - The Altoona Police Department is asking for your help in locating a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run, injuring two people.
Altoona Police Chief James Small says a man in a wheelchair was being pushed by his female caregiver along Princeton Street, when they were hit by a car. The two were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The chief says the car may be a black Saturn, but that's the only information they have about the vehicle that fled westbound on Gloede Avenue. The license plate number is unknown. He's asking anyone with any information to come forward and call police at (715) 839-6090.

Altoona Police Department attempting to locate Hit/Run driver who injured 2 pedestrians.
On September 9, 2012 at approximately 6:58 PM Altoona Police, Altoona Fire/Rescue and Eau Claire Fire Department Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of Gloede and Princeton in the City of Altoona.
Emergency Responders found 2 pedestrians injured. Witnesses reported that a west bound vehicle struck both pedestrians and fled the scene westbound on Gloede and turned northbound on Harlem St. A male in a wheelchair was being pushed by a female caregiver. Both pedestrians were transported by ambulance due to injuries from the crash. Patient conditions are not presently available.
The fleeing vehicle is described as possibly a Black Saturn passenger car. It may have damage to the front right of the vehicle. Witnesses report the driver did not attempt to stop or render aid.
