Governor tours wildfire damage

River Falls (WQOW) - A 12-year-old western Wisconsin boy is listed in fair condition Monday after being run over by a bus.

It happened Friday afternoon along Main Street in River Falls. Police say Jacob Wheeler was walking across an intersection when the school bus made a turn. The side of the bus knocked Jacob down and the rear dual wheels ran over his legs.

Police say they don't know why the bus driver didn't see him, but say that the don't walk sign for pedestrians was flashing when it happened.

Jacob is a student at Meyer Middle School.
