Chippewa County (WQOW) - It was a rough landing for a couple of skydivers near Lake Wissota.
They got caught up in a tree, 45 feet up. The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office says Hayward instructor Todd Lundsten was doing a tandem dive with Samuel Lyons, from Eau Claire. Strong winds from a recent thunderstorm pushed them a mile off course and they became entangled in a tree. That's where they stayed for about an hour while workers cut down trees to allow an Xcel Energy bucket truck to get close enough to rescue them. Neither man had serious injuries.
