Menomonie man arrested for suspicion of 4th offense OWI

Eau Claire (Press Release) - Daniel J. Stai, 28, of Menomonie has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense.

On September 13, 2012 at 4:53 a.m., a WI State Patrol trooper assisted the Menomonie Police Department and a UW Stout officer at the Perkins restaurant in Menomonie with an intoxicated man. The man, Daniel J. Stai of Menomonie, was asked to leave the restaurant and offered a cab ride, but refused. He was also told not to drive away.

At 5:36 a.m., a State Patrol Trooper, stopped Stai on I-94 near mile marker 41 for unsafe lane deviation and improper right turn. Stai was arrested by the trooper for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, 4th offense.

Stai was transported to the Mayo Health System for a legal blood draw and then to the Dunn County Jail.
