New Richmond (WQOW) - A pilot walks away with minor injuries after crashing his ultralight plane Thursday.

It happened in New Richmond.  Police say the man was lifting off from the airport when he could not get enough altitude.  The plane rolled and nose-dived into the ground.  The pilot was out of the plane by the time rescue crews arrived. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.  Police say the case will be handed over to the FAA.
