Polk County
(WQOW) - In Polk County
a man is charged with running over another man with his car, and driving away.
It was Tuesday evening that a
bartender in Cushing kicked Christopher Owen out of the bar because she felt he
was drunk. Witnesses say Owen became upset, and went outside and used his car
keys to scratch obscenities on the side of Nicholas Lewis' car.
Investigators say when Lewis
confronted him, Owen got into his car and ran over Lewis and almost hit another
man. Lewis suffered a collapsed lung and broken rib. He remains
hospitalized. Police tracked down Owen a
short time later. He faces six charges, including
third-offense drunk driving.
Owen was
released from jail Thursday after posting the five-hundred dollar bond set by a
Polk County judge.
