MADISON (WKOW) -- On Sunday, hundreds of participants will gather for the 30th Dog Jog run and walk to benefit and raise money for local area shelters.
The 2-mile run and walk will start at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. It's sponsored by the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.
Over 30 years, the Dog Jog has involved more than 25,000 participants and raised over $500,000 dollars to benefit homeless animals.
Organizers say all kinds of pets are in need of help. They encourage animals lovers to donate to the cause.
