JANESVILLE (WKOW) – Police arrest a Janesville man for his 4th OWI after he admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving early Saturday morning.
Officer Todd Radloff stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 2000 block of Nicolet Street around 2:32 a.m. Police identified the driver as Christopher Shane Ford of Janesville.
Authorities said the officer could noticed a strong odor of intoxicants on the driver's breath. Ford admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to driving and failed standardized field sobriety tests.
Officials arrested Ford for operating while intoxicated. Wisconsin Department of Transportation records show that Ford had three prior OWI arrests
Authorities took Ford to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center for a legal blood draw. The results are unknown at this time. Ford had a valid driving status at the time of his arrest and is currently being held at the Rock County Jail.
