(WQOW) - After more than
three decades in business, a local food market is closing its doors.
Hahn's Market announced Sunday they
will no longer be in business. The business says construction of the Highway 53
bypass seven years ago and increased competition meant they were unable to
recover from the loss of their customer base. They will be closed Monday and Tuesday
to prepare for their going out of business sale. The store will re-open on Wednesday
with discounted prices. After everything, including store fixtures and
equipment, is sold, the building will be available for lease.

Release from Hahn's Market: After nearly 35 years as a family owned business, we will be closing our doors. With much thought and consideration, the Hahn's family made the decision to no longer be in the grocery trade. Due to the construction of the Hwy. 53 bypass seven years ago and increased competition; we were unable to recover from the loss of our customer base.
We will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17th and 18th to prepare for our going out of business sale. The store will re-open Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 8 a.m. Select groceries will be on sale for 25% off and specialty beer, wine and liquor will be 15% off, meat, dairy and produce will be discounted separately. In addition to store merchandise, store fixtures and equipment are also for sale. After the final liquidation, the building will be available for lease.
Hahn's will honor all coupons and points for redemption while supplies last but points will no longer be added to your Rewards card. No rain checks or special orders, please.
The Hahn's family and the whole staff would like to thank all of our customers for the years of support. We will miss serving the community, our loyal customers and being your trusted local grocery store.
