TOWN OF VIENNA (WKOW) -- A Waunakee man was arrested for drunk
driving over the weekend, after two of his passengers were injured in a
crash.
Officials say they responded to a single-vehicle crash on
Schumacher Road in the Town of Vienna, around 3:20 a.m. Saturday,
September 15.
Dane County officials say the driver, 21-year-old
Cory Anderson, was driving south on Schumacher Road with three
passengers when he lost control of his Jeep Liberty.
Authorities
say two of the passengers -- 22-year-old Jared Markes and 21-year-old
Andrew Anderson -- were taken by ambulance to UW Hospital.
Andrew Anderson was
sitting in the front seat at the time of the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the SUV. Officials say he has serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Cory Anderson was arrested for OWI-Causing Injury. He was also cited for operating left of
center, failure to maintain control, and failure to stop at a stop sign. The crash remains under investigation by the
Dane County Sheriff's Office.
