MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are investigating recent weapons violations in the Allied Drive neighborhood they say may be related.

Police say the most recent incident happened on Friday around 4 p.m. in the 2300 block of Allied Drive. They say a 34-year-old man was hit in the ear by a projectile while walking with his 7-year-old son.

Officials say they believe the victim was likely hit by a BB or pellet. The hit caused significant bleeding to the victim's ear.

According to police, there have been two other recent weapons violations that are similar to this one in the area. They say it is possible they are all connected.
