Eau Claire (WQOW) - An area man is sentenced for stealing thousands of dollars in electronics and other items from his employer.
Kerry Wittmer of Spring Valley was charged with stealing at least 35 new flat-screen TVs while working at Valley Cartage Company. That's a trucking firm in Hudson.
Also stolen were power tools, digital cameras and blue-ray players. The items were worth about $12,000. His wife was convicted of selling the stolen items to friends.
Wittmer will spend one year in jail.
