Danny O'Brien (#6) or Joel Stave (#2)?Madison (WQOW) -- When Wisconsin hosts Texas-El Paso, Saturday, who'll start at quarterback for the Badgers? Head coach Bret Bielema knows, and so do Danny O'Brien and Joel Stave, but no one's talking.
O'Brien and Stave are listed as co-number ones on Monday's depth chart. O'Brien got the hook at halftime last Saturday after losing a 2nd quarter fumble. He also threw an interception which was called back because of a penalty.
Stave finished the game, and while he wasn't asked to do much, he also didn't turn it over.
"Ball security is at a premium and we said that all during fall camp it's been well documented," says Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema, "you guys know when I made the decision, when we made the decision to go with Danny, the biggest driving factor was turnover. I understand interceptions happen, a tipped ball on a good pass that a d-lineman breaks up, that's a different deal, you know a throw late across the field and things like that, we can't win with that."
