MONTICELLO (WKOW) -- A man from rural Monticello was arrested after authorities found a dozen marijuana plants growing at his home.
Agents with the StateLine Area Narcotics Team, or SLANT, along with the Green County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at 57-year-old George Norton's home at W7103 County Trunk C in Washington Township.
That's about six miles west of the
Village of Monticello.
They found 12 mature marijuana plants, about 251 grams of processed marijuana along with drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say the plants are capable of producing at least a pound each of the drug at an estimated street value of $2,000 per pound.
Norton is in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
