Man tazed three times during arrest

Barron County (Press Release) - On September 17, 2012 at 6:13 p.m., the Barron County Sheriff's Department received a call from Craig Ericson at 648 2nd Street in the Town of Turtle Lake that he had been robbed and the suspect was passed out in his car.

Deputies from the Barron county Sheriff's Department and the Turtle Lake Police Department responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, deputies found Andrew Murtaugh, 22, of Clayton in the back of the car. Murtaugh resisted arrest and was tazed three times by the deputy.

Murtaugh is being held in the Barron County Jail on charges of resisting arrest and criminal damage to property while awaiting formal charges by the Barron County District Attorney's Office.
