Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - Sunday was the last day for visitors
enjoy the Chippewa
Falls version of Oktoberfest.
Hundreds of people made their way to
the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds for the 10th annual event. There was
plenty of dancing, and kids' games. For many, it is a chance to experience German
traditions.
"On two occasions I
went to the actual, real Oktoberfest in Munich,
and I kind of fell in love with the Oktoberfest and all the festive
celebrations. It's just something I enjoy coming back to every year. Chippewa Falls
puts on a wonderful, smaller town Oktoberfest which is very family friendly,"
said Matthew Blissenbach of Chippewa
Falls.
Of course, being Oktoberfest there
was also plenty of beer on hand for those of age.
