Western Wisconsin (WQOW) - We've already seen one merger in high school football this fall. Another one could be in the works for next fall.
Cornell wants to team up with Lake Holcombe.
A few weeks ago, Cornell merged with Cadott for the rest of the football season. Both football programs had low numbers and injury concerns. The Cadott superintendent says they're just starting to look at their options for the future. In the meantime, the Cornell School District sent Lake Holcombe a letter requesting a football co-op with that school. The Lake Holcombe School Board agreed, as long as the details can be worked out. Lake Holcombe has already merged with Cornell in several sports.
