Dozens of resumes collected at sand company job fair

Buffalo County (WQOW) - A sand company says dozens of resumes are coming in after a job fair over the weekend.

Glacier Sands held a job fair at the Cochrane-Fountain city school on Saturday. More than 160 people were there. Organizers say 80 to 85 percent of those who applied for jobs were highly skilled and qualified which they called unusual.  

The majority of those who applied are Buffalo County residents. Organizers say it's good to have a farming background when looking for a job in sand mining. They say a lot of the skills in agriculture correlate with sand plant positions.
