Two injured in Pierce County crash

Press Release from the Pierce County Sheriff's Department: On Tuesday, September 25th, 2012, at about 7:20 am, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department was notified of a two car accident in front of the address W9098 Hwy 10, in Trimbelle Township.

Brian SHilts, 41 years of age, lone occupant was traveling westbound on Highway 10, and was attempting to make a right turn into a driveway. Sarah Leonard, 39 years of age, of Ellsworth, was traveling westbound on Highway 10 also, when she struck the rear of Shilt's vehicle.

The vehicle driven by Leonard overturned, and came to rest on the roadway. The vehicle driven by Shilts came to rest in the north ditch area.

Leonard was transported to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries, and Shilts was transported to the River Falls Area Hospital with undetermined injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. Assisting at the accident scene was Ellsworth EMS, and Ellsworth Fire Department.
