Eau Claire (WQOW)- Local students are doing their part to keep others in their community warm this winter.
Wednesday afternoon, students and staff from the Regis Catholic Schools brought four vans full of coats, blankets and gloves to Sacred Heart Hospital. The items are for the hospital's coat drive.
"There's a lot of people that need your support, and vice versa, they would help you out, so you have the extra coats, and we have the ability to raise awareness and bring all these coats in, so we did, and it's just part of our mission at our school to be involved in the community as much as we possibly can," said Molly Wirz, a Senior at Regis High School.
Sacred Heart will be accepting items for the drive until Friday. On Saturday coats and other winter wear will be handed out.
