Worst Call Ever gets its own T-shirt

Posted:

IOLA (WKOW) -- Besides putting pressure on the NFL to get the regular referees back, the Monday night debacle is also putting profit into the pockets of a couple of Wisconsin businessmen.

Joe Opperman and Scott Tappa own a T-shirt business in Iola, east of Stevens Point.

They turned their anger and frustration over the bad official's call that cost the Packers a win in Seattle into inspiration, creating the shirt that reads: Worst. Call. Ever.

Over the past two days, they've been swamped with orders from all over the country.

"California, New York, Virginia a lot of the different states," said Tappa.

Even the sale price has meaning to the shirt creators.

"We're selling the shirt for $12.07 the rightful score of Mondays game," explained Opperman.

Both men work full-time jobs and run the T-shirt business, Oppermacher, part time.

The catch: they make each shirt by hand in their homes, so they're not quite sure how they'll handle filling all the orders for the 'worst call ever' model.
