GREEN BAY (WKOW) –
Lambeau Field's expansion project is on schedule and on budget, according to
project managers.
So far, the major steel work is done at the south end
zone and most of the concrete is poured. Crews are also working to install new
seats. By next season, there will be 6,700 new seats.
The Green Bay Packers have spent about $75 million on the
expansion, with 92 percent of that money staying in Wisconsin and 68 percent
spent in northern Wisconsin, according to team officials.
Green Bay Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey told WLUK-TV the
process for determining who gets what seat has begun. Popkey says seat requests
will be done by seniority, in terms of how long they've been season ticket
holders and when they put in their request.
