Eau Claire (WQOW) - A dispute over a parking spot leads to criminal charges against an Eau Claire business owner.
A woman told police she went to a restaurant on Bellinger Street last month and parked in the lot of Kallenbach Auto. Police say the owner's daughter stormed into the restaurant demanding to know whose car it was and said she could not move it until she gave her fifty dollars.
After paying the money, they went to move her car only to find it parked in by a large truck. Business owner Todd Kallenbach then allegedly moved the truck, but positioned it so that it was difficult for the woman to move her car without hitting a post or another car.
Kallenbach is now charged with two counts of disorderly conduct. Police say he conceded that he did not have a 'no parking' sign posted, but that he cursed the officer and scolded him for wasting his time.
