MADISON (WKOW) -- The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation (AACDCF) will host a 5K run and walk to benefit survivors of domestic violence in the Madison area.
Race for Smiles will take place October 6 in Madison at Warner Park. The event will benefit the Give Back a Smile program. A portion of each participant's race registration fee will support the local Madison Domestic Abuse Intervention Services.
The Give Back a Smile program works to restore damaged smiles of survivors of intimate partner violence who have received dental injuries from a former intimate partner or spouse. The program has restored more than 1,200 smiles nationwide.
Registration for adults are $30 in advance or $35 on race day. Kids ages five to 12 are $15 in advance and $20 on race day. Children five and under are free.
