MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison woman was the victim of a strong armed robbery.

The incident happened in the 1000 block of Moorland Road shortly before midnight on Friday. According to the Madison Police Department, the victim was exiting her car when the unknown male suspect approached her and took her purse. The victim was not injured. Money was taken during the robbery.

Police continue to look for a suspect. He was described as a male around 5 feet 10 inches with an average build. He was wearing dark clothing.
