Altoona (WQOW) - A son of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was in western Wisconsin today.
Josh Romney spoke at an event in Hudson this morning before stopping in Altoona earlier this afternoon. At 37, he is the oldest of Romney's three sons. He says he enjoys being able to share the more personal side of his dad's life with supporters.
"I know my dad and who he is. I've seen him as a father. He's a guy who is in this because he cares for people. He wants to help people who have suffered the most under this economy. That's why he's doing this. The perspective I have of him is something that most people don't get to see, so I think it's a great thing for me to go on the campaign trail and tell people what kind of father he is, what kind of man he is. He's a man who really does love his family, loves to help people, and loves to serve people," Josh Romney said.
Josh also said his dad's experience running a business will help his father be productive from day one if he is elected. He felt Obama was stuck having to learn on the job.
