Hunter killed in ATV crash

Buffalo County (WQOW) - A hunter that was reported missing Sunday has been found.

The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at 11:54 p.m. Sunday that Gregory A. Fedie, 57, of Arcadia had not returned home after leaving earlier in the day to move tree stands. He was out in the woods on an ATV.

Authorities found Fedie dead on a hillside around 1:30 a.m., the result of an ATV crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Waumandee/Montana/Lincoln Fire Department, DNR, Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office, Independence Police Department and Buffalo County Coroner's Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the DNR and the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office.
