LAKE GENEVA (WKOW) -- Lake Geneva police are warning its citizens about a phone scam they say is targeting senior citizens.
Police say they have received reports of people attempting to obtain the
personal banking information from elderly citizens.
Officials say like many scams, the perpetrators phone
your home claiming to be with the Social Security Administration or other government
entity and request banking information.
Police would like to remind citizens
not to give any personal information over the phone to anyone unless you initiate contact to conduct business.
