Eau Claire (WQOW) - A woman who's well known among non-profits is leaving her job to become the new CEO of The Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce. Right now, Michelle Dingwall is the assistant director of the feed my people food bank.
"One of the things I've enjoyed the most about my time at Feed My People is working with different businesses and all kinds of organizations to help meet a greater need," said Michelle Dingwall, currently the Assistant Director at Feed My People.
Michelle Dingwall has pretty much done it all in her five years at the Feed My People Food Bank.
"Something that's very special is that when she joined the staff she was just one of four employees. She's adapted so well to the rapidly growing organization. She's continually wearing different hats and wearing each one of them well," said Emily Moore, Director of Feed My People.
In less than a month, she will be leaving the non profit to join the Menomonie Chamber of Commerce as CEO.
"I really feel as though the position at the chamber will be very similar in that I'll be working with local businesses to help raise the visibility and the increased success for the Menomonie area."
Emily Moore says Michelle helped raise the visibility of the food bank during her time as assistant director.
"One key area is donations. In the time that she's been here our donations have doubled, and that's allowed us to add many programs and expand and grow as the need has grown," Moore said.
Right now, Michelle lives in Menomonie. She says she's ready for the chamber challenge.
"I'm excited to work in my community and help it thrive," said Dingwall.
Michelle will replace Lisa Montgomery who spent the last five years as the chamber's CEO before taking a job at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.
