Police arrest man suspected of abducting 3 kids

FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- Police arrested a man they say kidnapped three children from a home in Fond du Lac.

Officers chased the suspect in the Village of Menominee Falls Monday when he crashed his SUV. He then tried to run away but was arrested.

Police found the three children, ages 3, 4, and 5, in the SUV. They were taken to a Milwaukee hospital for treatment.

Fond du Lac police were called by Oshkosh police shortly after 5 p.m. about a man wanted for a domestic battery in Oshkosh. At about the same time, police received an abandoned 911 call from a home in Fond du Lac.

Police determined the suspect in the Oshkosh incident had abducted three children whose mother was the domestic battery victim.

The 19-year old suspect is expected to face three charges of kidnapping in the City of Fond du Lac and presumably other criminal charges in Menominee Falls and Oshkosh.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. No other information is being released at this time.
