FITCHBURG (WKOW)-- A Fitchburg resident is charged with a felony possession of a firearm Tuesday morning.
Officials say 31-one-year-old Alvin Torry, of Fitchburg, was stopped for speeding by Fitchburg police on the 4900 block of Verona Road, at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. During the traffic stop, officers arrested Torry due to a child support warrant. A search of Torry's vehicle was also conducted. Officers found marijuana, as well as a loaded 9mm handgun.
Torry is charged with felon of possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and the child support warrant.
