RECALL: 700,000 bags of popcorn pulled for Listeria risk - WQOW TV: Eau Claire, WI NEWS18 News, Weather, and Sports

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. (WKOW) -- Popcorn, Indiana is recalling about 700,000 bags of select flavors of their ready-to-eat  select popcorn flavors because of possible Listeria contamination.

They company says the popcorn was made on or after August 8.

Officials say the products involved in the recall should be thrown away or returned to the original point of purchase for a full refund or replacement.

All recalled products were distributed to various retailers, vendors, distribution centers, and consumers through the Internet on or after August 8, with Best By dates of February 4, 2013 through March12, 2013. Recalled products were packaged in red bags of various sizes.

Consumers can identify an impacted product by checking the Best By Date located in the front, top right corner of the package and the Bag UPC (Code) located in the nutritional panel found on the back, bottom left corner of the package.
