Augusta (WQOW) - A program to give classrooms a lift is back for a second year.
A Tools for Schools grant was awarded in Augusta on Wednesday.
Last year was the first for Tools for Schools. It's a partnership between RCU and WQOW News 18 to support classrooms in need of a financial boost to get a project off the ground. At Augusta Elementary, mold has caused a lot of problems in recent years. Many desks had to be thrown out. A local college donated desks, but classrooms were still without organizers for folders and books. One grant in the spring helped pay for some. A second grant presented by RCU on Wednesday will pay for more organizers.
Next month, another area classroom will receive a grant. To apply for a $300 award, click here.
