Sawyer County (WQOW) - Homicide charges are dropped for a driver accused of hitting and killing a woman with her car.
Gina Trepanier of Hayward was charged two years ago with homicide by drunk driving. Lac Court Orielles Police said she hit and killed Cynthia Gordon while she walked along a highway.
But in Sawyer County court this week prosecutors dropped the homicide charge. They told the judge they cannot prove Trepanier's car hit Gordon.
Instead she given an $830 fine for drunk driving. Her driver's license was also revoked for 9 months.
