Chippewa County (WQOW) - A home in Chippewa County has been destroyed.

Flames broke out Friday afternoon in the basement of a home on Highway 124 and crews say it spread to the rest of the home. Four dogs were killed in the fire. There were no other injuries. Firefighters aren't sure what caused the fire.

The Red Cross is helping the people who lived in the home with food, clothing and a temporary place to stay.
