Eau Claire (WQOW) - The Bolton Refuge House has named a
new leader, and it's a familiar face.
Pat Stein
has been selected to serve as the new Bolton Refuge House Executive Director.
She originally joined the shelter in 1996, serving as the project director for
the Jackson
county outreach office. She hopes to continue to grow programs that are already
in place, but says funding will be a determining factor.
"What I would like
to see as a goal is to eventually become less dependent on state and federal
funding. Because those are the dollars that are always at risk of being
lost...and be able to be self sustaining on local community organizations,
foundations, and donors," Stein said.
Stein is
replacing Jerry Wilkie, who retired as director after 26 years on the job.
