Black River Falls (WQOW) - Arson charges are filed Tuesday against a Black River Falls man accused of burning down a tavern and investigators say they believe the owner of the bar put him up to it.

Kyle Rott was charged Tuesday for a July 2011 fire that destroyed the Rustic Mill Tavern. The business had recently been closed by owner Brian Adkins. His son told investigator that Adkins had offered Rott $10,000 to start the business on fire, and that Rott replied he would do it for just two cartons of cigarettes. Police say the son told them that the two men shook hands and said 'deal,' but that Adkins told Rott to wait until Adkins was out of town.

Police say Rott eventually confessed to setting the fire using gasoline. At this point no charges have been filed against Adkins.
