OK woman arrested on armed robbery warrant

Lake Hallie (Press Release) - On  Monday, October 8, 2012 Lake Hallie Police were advised by the City of Chippewa Falls Police of a subject who had active warrants from Oklahoma for Armed Robbery.

A subject named Jason Roach had been arrested by Chippewa Falls Police earlier in the day while he attempted to steal items from a vehicle by forced entry. His companion named Tiffany Holmes was reported still in the area.

It was reported that the two had been driving around or staying at a motel in Lake Hallie. Holmes was driving a white Oldsmobile Alero that had a stolen Wis. plate attached. That plate was stolen from the University of Eau Claire earlier in the day. Roach was alleged to have stolen firearms from a vehicle at Gander Mountain in Eau Claire and to have stolen another vehicle in Eau Claire earlier in the day along with Holmes.  The subject was reported to be armed.

At about 10:25 p.m., Officer Eaton while on patrol at the Mega Holiday Gas Station, 2750 120th Street observed the suspect and vehicle in the parking lot. Tiffany Holmes, 23, of Oklahoma was arrested without incident for the outstanding warrant. Officers discovered a pistol (Ruger semi-automatic .22LR handgun) on the front seat of the car and several folding knives and one large combat type knife which was unsheathed in the front passenger area. Officers also located three checkbooks that had been stolen from vehicles while parked at UW-Eau Claire.

The vehicle currently had a repossession order in effect from yet another person who did not appear involved in this matter in the State of Oklahoma. The vehicle was seized by Lake Hallie Police and due to the large amount of other items in the vehicle a Search Warrant was obtained on Tuesday October 9, 2012. The warrant will allow the vehicle to be searched for stolen items that may have been reported in other jurisdictions.
