MADISON (WKOW) -- Two Madison police officers were injured Monday afternoon after struggling with a man who was trying to disarm them.
Authorities say 32-year-old Jason Cramer, of Madison, was found consuming alcohol at the Madison East Transfer Point on Monday around 3:13 p.m.
Police contacted Cramer after he spilled some of his drink while walking near children who were walking home from school.
Police says Cramer immediately became aggressive with officers and grabbed at their service belts. Authorities say Cramer was able to pull an officer's Taser off his duty belt and undo a retention strop on his gun holster. Additional back-up arrived after a second officer threw the Taser aside.
Authorities say one officer suffered a broken wrist, while the other officer hurt his knee.
Cramer was arrested for resisting and disarming a police officer.
