Ladysmith (WQOW) - Police are investigating a death in the city of Ladysmith.
The Ladysmith Police Department says the body of a white male was found around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday night on the Canadian National Railroad tracks. They say the body was identified as a white male of an unknown age, with possibly shoulder length brown hair. They say he was wearing black dress pants, a black button up dress shirt, and a black and silver neck tie and slip on black shoes. There was no ID on the body, but a receipt from April this year from Kwik Trip in Chippewa Falls, and a receipt from August from McDonald's in Eau Claire were found on him.
They're asking anyone with any information regarding a missing person or anyone who saw anyone on the railroad tracks yesterday to call the Ladysmith Police Department. That number is 715-532-2186. The death is being investigated by the Ladysmith Police Department and the Rusk County coroner's office. Police aren't saying whether or not the death is suspicious, or how the man died.
