Eau Claire (WQOW) - Thursday night, parents can participate in a "Walk to Remember", an event for parents who have experienced an infant death.
Families who have lost a child through a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death can participate in the walk. It starts Thursday night at 6:15pm at Braun's Bay in Carson Park. There is no cost to participate. In previous years there have been between over thirty families in attendance.
"It's a time for them to come together, to remember, to honor the brief life of their child, to know that they're not alone, to see that they are other people in the community who have experienced something similar," Says The Healing Place Coordinator, Amy Segerstrom
The Healing Place in Eau Claire offers support groups for those dealing with a loss. If you would like to get in touch with them you can call (715)-717-6028.
