Proposal to extend frac sand moratorium by six months

Posted:

Pepin County (WQOW) - A county could get more time to do homework on frac sand.

An extension of Pepin County's one-year moratorium is on the table.  The moratorium expires in December.  A number of towns felt a six-month extension was needed to help them come up with regulations for frac sand operations.  That proposal will go before the Pepin County Board of Supervisors next week.
