MADISON (WKOW) -- The Dane County Humane Society is extremely full of cats and kittens, so it's offering reduced adoption fees through Saturday.
There are 109 adult cats and 21 kittens being cared for by DCHS right now that are available for adoption. Through Saturday, you can get an adult cat (six months and older) for five dollars plus tax. Normally the price is $40. Kittens are reduced to $20 plus tax. Normally they cost $125.
DCHS is also hosting its "Run Wild! 5K Run/Walk" Saturday at Elver Park starting at 9:00 a.m. This will raise money and awareness for the wildlife program.
Friday morning on Wake Up Wisconsin, Gayle Viney from the DCHS stopped by to introduce two cats who are up for adoption: Ollie and Patch.
To learn more about either the reduced adoption fees or the run/walk, head to the DCHS website.
