Washburn County (WQOW) - The case is closed on a shooting last year in Washburn County.

Investigators say Mark Neta was involved in a scuffle last fall at an underage drinking party near Trego. While he was on the ground on his back with two others the rifle he was holding discharged. Calvin Riley, who was standing nearby, was hit in the chest with the .22 caliber bullet.

Neta was sentenced Thursday to six months in jail. He must also pay $77,000 in restitution for the victim's medical costs.
