(WQOW) - Things are tightening in Wisconsin and the
candidates have taken note. Wisconsin
is proving to be what we've said all along, a key battleground state for the upcoming
election.
A poll by Quinnipiac University
shows Mitt Romney gaining two points in the state. The President now leads his
challenger 50% to 47%. With increased focus on Wisconsin
-- the number two on the Obama Biden ticket was in La Crosse Friday. Congressman Paul Ryan will
be back in his home state Monday, to attend a town hall at Carroll University.
And in another race that continues
to tighten, the race for the open U.S. Senate seat in Wisconsin. Currently Representative Tammy
Baldwin is leading former Governor Tommy Thompson 48% to 46%.
